要诊断挥杆问题，诀窍之一是经常检查你的双手。茧子能够指明挥杆过程中手掌和手指的哪些部位受到的压力最大。因为左手是标准握杆的基础，大多数右手球员的茧子都长在左手上，无论你是否戴手套。如果茧子位于左手小指、无名指和中指的根部，说明你的握杆动作正确。如果你的左手食指根部和拇指上有茧子，你可能存在右曲球和击球距离不足的问题，因为你这两根手指过分用力，导致握杆太紧。

右手的茧子应该比左手少，只有无名指和中指内侧会同时接触到球杆和彼此。右手无名指外侧也有可能长茧子，因为它会碰到左手食指。如果你发现右手食指或拇指上有茧子，你可能存在右曲球或拉击球的问题。这些手指用力会导致肩部僵硬，带来自外向内的挥杆轨道和弹道。

10月6号的天气非常晴朗，正如我们所期待的一样。一共46位高尔夫球手参加了808俱乐部金秋公开赛，其中包括10名Formosa的朋友。比赛进行的非常的激烈，大家的水平非常平均，就看谁的发挥更加稳定了。非常感谢我们的赞助商Martin Pei,他帮我们组织了一场非常精彩的比赛。Debbie Lin帮助我们的注册，Jim Zhao负责照相工作。

推杆比赛的最后赢家，俱乐部的黑马黄成金一路过关斩将，笑到了最后，获得了推杆的第一名。黄总的成绩进步是大家有目共睹的，学球不到两年的他，为了专心练球，专门在球场附近买了房子。而且拜我们华人的高手Leon为师，勤学苦练，天天泡在球场上。他一个星期练习的球超过一般人一个月的练习。功夫不负有心人，他终于可以和我们俱乐部里的最好的高手们同场竞技！

团体奖的获得者不出我们所料，第一名是由我们的下一代优秀选手Ivan Zhao带队的选手们获得。他们的表现非常稳定，最后是以低于标准杆8杆的成绩夺冠。应该说，这个成绩与Ivan的长距离开杆，和精准的铁杆分不开的。我们向Ivan的父亲，Jim Zhao讨教他如何把自己的两个孩子培养成高尔夫的优秀选手，他一如既往的耐心跟我们讲解。庆幸的是，Jim Zhao负责808俱乐部的青少年高尔夫培养项目，这样能够培养出更多优秀的中国高尔夫选手。美国有的高尔夫培养得天独厚的条件，我们相信，下一个高尔夫老虎也许会从华人年轻人中产生！

我们的晚宴在Bellevue的华人餐厅鲤鱼门举行，我们邀请到了很多贵宾何媒体，如王医生夫人冯姐，西滨网的创始人，和侨报的记者等等。华人界著名的律师Jim Young也应邀参加了我们的晚会，他不但是我们的老朋友和忠实会员，还曾经与美国驻中国大使骆家辉共事。他帮助808俱乐部起草了很多重要的法律文档。是我们俱乐部的重要法律保障。

在比赛颁奖的现场，808俱乐部的主席Shuo Chen向Formosa俱乐部主席Al Liu赠送了29条印有808俱乐部logo的高尔夫毛巾，把整个颁奖典礼的气氛推向了高潮。今年808俱乐部和Formosa俱乐部共同举办了几场活动，包括九月初劳动节去Lake Chelan的高尔夫远足。两个俱乐部之间的互动和友谊达到了历史的高点。参与这场活动的有Formosa俱乐部过去几年的好几届主席，他们一致表达了对808俱乐部的感谢，并认为此次比赛举行的非常成功。808俱乐部也从Formosa俱乐部学习到了很多经验，包括一些新的比赛规则。这种良性互动一定会促进808俱乐部的成熟和成长。

劳动节三天的假期过得太快了，留给每个人很多美好的回忆！ 加上30位番薯藤俱乐部的球手，这次出行的人数达到了80个人左右。这是我们俱乐部成立以来最大规模的一次高尔夫远足。这里面还有很多的老人和孩子，能够成功的举办一个这么大规模的活动，离不开我们俱乐部的每个人的团结合作和奉献，我感受到了俱乐部强大的凝聚力！我们也加强和和番薯藤俱乐部的友谊，大家互赠了纪念品。成功的举办这样的一个大型活动，要感谢的人非常多，感谢Steve Yang和Martin 为我们找到了住的旅馆，就在夏兰湖的水边，不但让我们玩了水上排球，还能听着涛声入睡。Jason Dai和Steve还带来了自己的船，让我们会员坐船，玩滑水，让我们的小孩子们都玩得非常愉快。Sherry帮忙组织了家属游船和远足。Ren Jin, King和Xiao Yuhong负责烧烤采买，帮助我们成功的举行了湖边烧烤。Grace帮助我们负责收费的工作有条不紊。另外要感谢我们的家属，是你们常年的奉献，让我们能够享受高尔夫的乐趣！向你们致敬！
The labor day holiday was over and it sure will leave us a unforgetable memory, golfers, families and kids alike. Together with 30 golfers from Formosa club, we have reached over 80 people for this events. This is a new record in our club’s history. Anybody will know that it’s hard to organize it perfectly with such a big number of people. Thanks to the great team spirit from our members. The three days are packed with joy and excitement. From the intense golf competition, to the lake side barbecue, to the Poker tournament, to the boating and water surfing on the lake, to the wine tasting in the winary. I see laughters from heart of everyone. Thanks for our families, we can’t have so much fun without your year round contribution!
This is indeed intense golfing, individual game in three consecutive days. Our players definitely endured great tests. Among the 22 players that start the first day, there are 16 players who have finished 3 days of golfing. The fantastic 4(horses) have bring us a lot of fun. They are: James Dong, Kerry Hu, Eric Zhao and Steven Lou. The competition among them was full of up and downs. Like any PGA events, it’s very hard to predict who will become the final winner. For the first time, our members starts to place some bets on whom to win, this is a lot of fun. After three days’ of intense competition, two players really stand out: James Dong and Kerry Hu. They have tied for the first place and won the player of the year for club808 in 2013. Let’s congratulate them!

Day 1:
It seems we had a great game today with Formosa club, we are doing 1:1 competition with their top 22 players. Even though we lost most of the games, but our top players Steven lou, kerry hu and Eric Zhao did show Formosa that we have great potentials! Congratulations to Steven Lou, he is on the top of the leader board with two stroke lead of the second. Kerry and James Dong tied for the second place with 2 strokes behind! Erric is right bebind and 3rd place. Steve is the 5th place and Roger and Chengjin Huang tied for 6th.
We also had a wonderful barbecue! Everybody helped out and made it really memorable! My favorite is the sausages and chicken wings, joicy and Yamee! On the family member side, Sherry organized a great cruise tour today and we are looking forward to the hiking tomorrow.

Day 2 09/01(Sunday) schedule:
1. golf players assemble at the parking lot 7:00 AM. The first tee time is 8:10 AM.
2. Family members will gather at 9:30 AM for the hiking in the parking lot
3. The afternoon is family time and enjoy yourself at the beach!
4. 6:30 PM, we gather at Lake Chelan Winery for the buffet dinner, 3519 State Route 150 Chelan, WA 98816
The second day is folding up, it is full of joy and excitement.
The golf course on Bear mountain is really gorgeous, it over look Lake Chelan and has some holes with fantastic view. Today, Eric Zhao stand out and took the first place in the leader board with 166. But the game is really close, James Dong comes next with 2 more stroke of 168. Steven is in the third place of 169. Kerry took 4th at 173. All of these players have a chance in the last day. Let’s see who is the winner in the last day.
The dinner buffet is at the Lake Chelan Winery, the setting was very nice. All the people are seated right in the grape field. The wine was great! And the most exciting part is some members try to bet on the 4 top players (AKA horses, not officially encouraged by club808:disclaimer) for the final winner. Eric is the white horse(charming), Steven Lou is the black horse, James Dong flexed his muscles to compare with Eric. Kerry Hu is playing low. Let’s see who is the final winner!

Day 3:
Great and tough game on the last day. Kerry Hu took the lowest score and took the 1st place along with James Dong. We had great pig foot dinner in Leavenworth. See picture see truth. It’s also Kerry’s birthday.
